BEHAVIOUR POLICY
We promote a positive model for the children, parents and staff alike regarding friendliness, courtesy, care, kindness and will praise and endorse desirable attitude and behaviour. We are aware that some kind of behaviour arises from tiredness, change of circumstances, special needs, or simple frustration. When children behave in unacceptable ways: adults will not shout, raise their voices in a threatening way: no smacking, rough treatment, no intimidation, children will never be deprived of food and drink, or belittled or be told the child that he/she is naughty.
When appropriate "time out" will be used. Role-play will be used. Children will be spoken to directly and explained in what way their behaviour is not acceptable. Parents will be informed of the problem and about how was it dealt with. The whole nursery with in partnership will tackle recurring problems with child's parents and an Action Plan will be made. The Nursery reserves the right to request for a child to be removed from the nursery with a constant disruptive, and aggressive behaviour.
