CURRICIULUM & POLICIES
CURRICULUM
Our daily activities help children in developing their full potential at their own pace. Our key worker system enables us to ensure a planned curriculum tailored to the needs of each individual child.
BEHAVIOUR
We promote a positive model for the children, parents and staff alike regarding friendliness, courtesy, care, kindness and will praise and endorse desirable attitude and behaviour.
PARENTS
Parents/Guardians are first educators of their children; our aim is to support your essential work. We strive to establish an excellent relationship with parents/guardians and carers by encouraging each family to contribute from their own skills, knowledge, interest, and culture, to the activities of the Nursery.
SPANISH
Cherry Tree Nursery provides a gentle introduction of Spanish Language for all children that attend the Nursery during the week, with games, activities and songs, and for parents/guardians there are Spanish courses .
STAFFING
We have one member of staff to eight children of three years and one to four.
HEALTH & SAFETY
At Cherry Tree Nursery nothing is more important than your child's wellbeing and safety.
DIET
The Nursery observes a healthy eating diet and will ensure that: All meals and snacks provided are nutritious, avoiding fat, sugar, or artificial additives.
CHILD PROTECTION
We intend to create in our Nursery an environment in which children are safe form abuse and in which any suspicion of abuse is quickly and appropriately responded to.
FESTIVALS AND MUSIC
Our aim is to show respectful awareness of all the major events in the lives of the children and families in the Nursery, and in our society as a whole, and to welcome the diversity of backgrounds from which they come.
We also give children a light introduction to music, percussion and piano.
